Garden Waste Removal

Need your garden cleared? We remove green waste, branches, soil, rocks, and all garden debris. Perfect for post-landscaping cleanups.

Overgrown garden, a big prune, or a landscaping job that's left a mountain of clippings? We clear garden waste, green waste and general garden rubbish from homes and businesses across Melbourne - loaded by hand and hauled away, usually the same day. No trailer to hire, no tip run, no weekend lost to it.

When to call us instead of the green bin

The council green bin is fine for a weekly mow, but it fills fast and only comes fortnightly. After a hedge trim, a tree lopping, a spring or autumn clean-up, or clearing an overgrown rental or deceased estate, you're usually left with far more than a bin - or a season of bins - can take. We clear it all in one visit, from a single trailer's worth to a whole backyard.

What garden waste removal costs

Garden and green waste is priced by the space it takes up in the truck, not by the hour, so you know the number before we start. Small loads begin at our $200 minimum - roughly a ute tray of clippings. A typical suburban tidy-up after a big prune or a hedge trim usually lands between a quarter and a half truck. A backyard that has been left through a full season, or an overgrown yard being cleared for sale, is often a full load.

Heavy material is the one thing that changes the sum. Soil, turf, sleepers and cut stumps weigh far more than the same volume of leaves and prunings, so they're quoted a little differently - mention them when you call and we'll factor it in rather than surprise you on the day. Whatever the load, the price is fixed before a branch is lifted, and we'll beat any comparable written quote by 10%.

Why not a trailer and a tip run yourself?

Doing it yourself sounds cheaper until you add it up: trailer hire, fuel, green-waste tip fees (charged by weight or load), and a few hours of your weekend loading, driving and unloading - often more than once. We turn up with the truck and the crew, do all the loading, and you don't lift a branch. For anything more than a boot-load, it's usually faster and cheaper to hand it over.

Getting to it: gates, steps and steep blocks

Most garden rubbish is behind the house rather than out on the nature strip, and that's usually the part that puts people off doing it themselves. Our crews carry it out - down side passages, through the garage, up or down steps, off steep and terraced blocks. Nothing needs to be dragged to the front first.

If access is genuinely tight - no side gate, a shared driveway, or a rear yard reached only through the house - say so when you book and we'll send the right size truck and enough crew. It's the single most useful thing you can tell us, and it's why we ask for a photo.

For landscapers, agents and property managers

We're happy to take the waste off a job we didn't do. Landscapers and gardeners call us to clear the pile at the end of a job so their own trailer stays free, usually same day or the following morning. For agents and property managers, an overgrown yard on a rental turnover is often the thing holding up the next lease - if the whole property needs clearing, our end-of-lease rental clearance covers inside and out in one visit.

The best time to clear a garden

Spring and autumn are our busiest ends of the year, and for good reason. Spring brings the first big prune and everything that ran away over winter; autumn brings leaf fall, cutting back and the tidy-up before the cold. Both leave more than a fortnightly bin can absorb. If you're clearing for a sale, an inspection or an end of lease, work back from the date and book a little early - a yard photographs badly with a pile at the back, and a cleared garden reads as a maintained property.

Where your green waste ends up

Green waste is one of the easiest things to keep out of landfill, and we do. Wherever we can, garden and green waste is taken to be mulched or composted rather than tipped - part of the reason around 80% of everything we collect across Melbourne is recycled, repurposed or donated.

What we can't take

A few things have to go elsewhere, and it's better to know before we arrive. We can't take asbestos in any form, including old fencing sheets and shed walls, which turn up in Melbourne backyards more often than people expect. Chemicals, fuel, pool chemicals and garden poisons need a council chemical drop-off, and we'll point you to the nearest one. Treated and painted timber is fine as general waste but can't be mulched, so it's handled separately. If you're not sure what something is, send a photo - it takes a minute and saves a wasted visit.

Garden waste removal - FAQs

Do I need to bag or bundle it first?
No - leave it as it is. We load loose branches, clippings and bags ourselves. Already bagged is fine too, but there's no need to prep anything.
Can you take soil, turf and stumps?
Yes. Soil, turf, mulch and cut stumps or logs are all fine - just mention them when you call, as heavy material is priced a little differently to light clippings.
How much does garden waste removal cost?
It's priced by the volume it takes up in the truck. Small loads start at our $200 minimum; larger clean-outs are quoted on the spot - see our junk removal cost guide. We'll beat any comparable written quote by 10%.
Do you clear whole overgrown gardens?
Absolutely - from a single trailer's worth up to a completely overgrown yard for a rental turnover, sale or estate. We'll give you a fixed price before we start.
How quickly can you get here?
Often the same day, and usually within 48 hours anywhere in Melbourne. Garden clears are easier to fit in at short notice than full house clearances, because they rarely need a long visit.
Can you come if I'm not home?
Yes, as long as we can reach the waste and the price is agreed beforehand. A lot of garden jobs are booked by someone who's at work, or by an agent for a property they don't live at. We'll send photos once it's cleared.
Do you clear garden rubbish from unit blocks?
Yes - units, townhouses and body corporate common areas. If a committee or building manager is paying, we can quote in writing first so it can go through approval.
